What The Fuck 2Arnout Eenmaal een vreemdganger, bijna altijd een vreemdganger. Had via internetdating ooit zo'n grietje aan de chat. Die zei ook 'maar iedereen doet het in mijn omgeving'. Terwijl haar man er niets van wist. Sterker nog, ze wilde eerst een paar keer stappen voor het vreemdgaan, omdat ze zich anders zo'n hoer voelde. Ik heb haar maar toen niet verteld dat ik meer respect heb voor een hoer dan voor iemand die haar eigen partner bedriegt.Vreemdgaan toont in ieder geval een ontstellend gebrek aan empathisch vermogen aan omdat je je blijkbaar niet kan inbeelden hoe veel pijn het iemand kan doen.

This must be a reaction to people who want to react to an application, the application itself first posseses.Previously it was true that anyone can response to an application could place even if the application had someone not in possession. This caused quite a lot of pollution of this opportunity to respond to the applications. Responses were often placed along the lines of "the installation can not 'and there was this functionality not initially intended. In particular, developers complained about the fact that many people have their applications judged negatively those they themselves had not in possession. According to the developers this gives a distorted picture of the quality of their applications. Also from the users there was irritation in response to these reactions. The data applies only to applications in the App Store. Music and podcasts in the iTunes know yet the same policy review as before. This does not change the content rather than in possession, but it seems rather difficult to give an objective opinion on something that is itself not in the possession. It indicates in any case that Apple is willing to listen to developers. This is a step in the right direction, because developers complain also stone and bone on the acceptance of applications for the App Store. The regulations surrounding this situation is unclear, according to the developers. They hope for rapid improvement.

'Finnish shooter posted images on Youtube'
Arnout The 20-year old shooter who killed Tuesday morning several students at a school in the Finnish Kauhajoki, probably has a few days before her various movies posted on Youtube, which is to see how he keeps shooting.The images are uploaded by a user who consider themselves' Wumpscut86 'calls. His profile and his movies have now been removed from the video site, but a movie where a boy in a shooting a Walther P22 fires, is in possession of editors.

On Youtube claims' mydadhitsmymom 'the offender of the shooting, which according to initial communications from the Finnish authorities' many deaths are cases. Yet that seems highly unlikely, according to his profile after the massacre still logged more times on the video site.
Elsewhere on the Internet Tuesday afternoon were more videos to see where the boy with his gun exercises.

In 2007 a Finnish student shot dead eight students at a school in Tuusula and then committed suicide. The boy had his act announced on the Internet, including movies on Youtube and a packet Word files in which he stated his actions.

News on the web is a good course
Arnout Immigrants and children with better language learning English as they read newspapers on the web. That is the outcome of a four-year investigation of the University of Tilburg in naturalizers language and weak children.The participants in the study read including entertainment and sports news from webversies of Dutch newspapers. They did that with specially developed for the investigation of Alane Newsreader software edia.
There has been a pilot with the software instead found in the Amsterdam Public Library (OBA). The pilot was a collaborative project between EDIA, the Amsterdam Public Library Foundation and the Education Technology.
"Key topics that most interest generation. And what interests you still hang better. We have a pilot run in the public library of Amsterdam and a few pre-vocational secondary education programs and MBO's. Newsreader also shows that in each state for person a certain level of newspaper articles found that up to one day old. Average shows that thirty texts read ten to fifteen words linger, "said researcher Rintse van der Werf in De Telegraaf. Van der Werf is also co-founder of EDIA.
The Alane News Web speurt itself into line with current news that the interest and the language of the learner. The student reads the articles and then his or her word knowledge tested. Van der Werf hopes that all public libraries Alane News will offer a free teaching materials.

Arnout Dunno what happend this weekend to html, but yesterday checked it, and all i got whas a louzy "naamloos" page. Checking the ftp server gave me the result that all files were still there. Also with the database were nog problems. So.. i reinstalled e107, merged the database, and tadaa here we are again.Now i got to fix the menu in the right corner.

Why is the Blue Zune 8GB so ugly?
Arnout Okay this is no attack towards Microsoft and not to the Zune but i must confess: the new blue Zune 8GB is just ugly as a chinese fake iPod. I like the Zune 120GB! It has a big screen and has a nice format to hold in your hands, but the Blue Zune can't steal my heart.First of all I don't like the blue color at all. Why did they choose that blue color?!? And why that border around the small screen?? It makes the Zune looks fake imo.
It just doesn't have the muscles of the 120GB Zune!

Google's user privacy
Arnout Back in March 2007, Google became the first leading search engine to announce a policy to anonymize our search server logs in the interests of privacy. And many others in the industry quickly followed the lead. Although that was good for privacy, it was a difficult decision because the routine server log data they collect has always been a critical ingredient of innovation. They have published a series of blog posts explaining how Google use logs data for the benefit of their users: to make improvements to search quality, improve security, fight fraud and reduce spam.Over the last two years, policymakers and regulators -- especially in Europe and the U.S. -- have continued to ask them (and others in the industry) to explain and justify this shortened logs retention policy. Google responded by open letter to explain how they were trying to strike the right balance between sometimes conflicting factors like privacy, security, and innovation. Some in the community of EU data protection regulators continued to be skeptical of the legitimacy of logs retention and demanded detailed justifications for this retention. Many of these privacy leaders also highlighted the risks of litigants using court-ordered discovery to gain access to logs, as in the recent Viacom suit.
Today, Google is filing this response (PDF file) to the EU privacy regulators. Since they announced the original logs anonymization policy, Google had literally hundreds of discussions with data protection officials, government leaders and privacy advocates around the world to explain their privacy practices and to work together to develop ways to improve privacy. When Google began anonymizing after 18 months, they knew it meant sacrifices in future innovations in all of these areas. Google believed further reducing the period before anonymizing would degrade the utility of the data too much and outweigh the incremental privacy benefit for users.
We didn\'t stop working on this computer science problem, though. The problem is difficult to solve because the characteristics of the data that make it useful to prevent fraud, for example, are the very characteristics that also introduce some privacy risk. After months of work our engineers developed methods for preserving more of the data\'s utility while also anonymizing IP addresses sooner. We haven\'t sorted out all of the implementation details, and we may not be able to use precisely the same methods for anonymizing as we do after 18 months, but we are committed to making it work.
While they are glad that this will bring some additional improvement in privacy, they are also concerned about the potential loss of security, quality, and innovation that may result from having less data. As the period prior to anonymization gets shorter, the added privacy benefits are less significant and the utility lost from the data grows. So, it\'s difficult to find the perfect equilibrium between privacy on the one hand, and other factors, such as innovation and security, on the other. Technology will certainly evolve, and they will always be working on ways to improve privacy for our users, seeking new innovations, and also finding the right balance between the benefits of data and advancement of privacy.

The BlackBoard disaster!
Arnout I'm studying at the Hague University and for sharing information and documents with the students they use BlackBoard. Almost every high school in the netherlands uses BlackBoard for sharing documents, so that's good. Everyone the same system. But then: it looks like shit and it works like hell. First it looks like it's made in Windows 95! Did they code it in the commandline..? :/ And the whole infrastructure our school made for courses is just ridiculous.This evening, i had to look for a document. A document with some exercises in it i need to do. So im going to the only Courses i'm member of and guess what: the document is not there. Next thing i thought: wait i search for it! But there is no goddamn search on the site!
How could i ever find a document or even information on this site?
It is sooo stupid that somebody like me, which is almost a prof in finding information and data on the internet, not even could find a simple document on BlackBoard. And it's irritating me, that it is not my fault.But hey, there is a thing called Google Mini which has One Boxes for BlackBoard.. that's like heaven.
Hey and, BlackBoard: built a desktop client program! It's would work a lot faster than this Webbased shithole.
Oh and, sorry about any typo's.

Europe about to explore the universe with the Large Hadron Collidor
ArnoutThis morning is in Swiss the LHC (Large Hadron Collidor) succesfully tested. The purpose of this thing is to crash protones into each other to simulate the Big Ben.. The first beam was circulated through the collider on the morning of 10 September 2008. CERN successfully fired the protons around the tunnel in stages, several kilometres at a time. The particles were fired in a clockwise direction into the accelerator and successfully steered around it at 10:28 am local time. The LHC successfully completed its first major test, for after a series of trial runs, two white dots flashed on a computer screen showing the protons traveled the full length of the Collider. CERN plans to send it counterclockwise, and eventually the two beams will be fired in opposite directions with the aim of smashing together protons to see how they are made. It took less than one hour to guide the stream of particles around its inaugural circuit.
